Before returning to her home state of Maine and joining LeBlanc & Young in 2016, Matie was a partner at a Washington, D.C. law firm where she practiced in the field of trusts and estates and tax-exempt organizations for almost eight years.

Matie is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and the American Bar Association Real Property, Trusts and Estates section. She served as chair of the Estate Planning Committee of the D.C. Bar Taxation Section, and was selected to the 2016 Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.

Matie and her husband, James, live in Cumberland with their new daughter. Being back in Maine, Matie looks forward to spending time with family and enjoying all of Maine’s outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking, fishing and golfing.
